is famous for being the greatest comic author of the twentieth century. His books are good for children, teen-agers, adults, old people. In fact the adventures he created are funny, rich of humor, situations are comic and hilarious.
Wodehouse has written more than 70 novels and 200 short stories creating with the time incredibly funny characters (my favorite one is Jeeves). I remember Jeeves and Wooster, Lord Emsworth and his beloved Empress of Blandings, Mr Mulliner, Ukridge, Psmith and the Oldest Member.

He wrote a lot of hilarious articles appeared in more than eighty magazines. He collaborated with Jerome Kern, George Gershwin, Ivor Novello, and Cole Porter on many hit musicals for both Broadway and the West End.

From a lot of time at this part has been founded The Wodehouse Society, with a great group of estimators of the literary works by Wodehouse. Members are the most diversified for sure passing from relatives of Prince Charles as for the Duke of Kent, to the student who falls in love for Wodehouse’s books and wants to being constantly informed about all the latest news. Yes because Wodehouse in many cases has been of great inspiration as we have seen also with Bonfiglioli’s trilogy: Mortdecai, for a lot of British, Americans writers.
Thanks to his humor, his capacity of looking at the reality with good eyes, and funny mood one of the favorite writers of all the times.

The new president of the Society is Sir Terry Wogan. Richard Briers, previous president passed away in fact in 2013 at just 79 years for a bad lung’s illness.
