May 27th….

Filming in a city and not just in a studio is a thrilling experience for the residences and for the actors and production’s members involved in the adventure.

Great in fact can become the interaction between stars and residents of the area taken in consideration. Of course it means also some little problems for circulations of vehicles, blocked streets and other. It’s known but it’s a privilege to being chosen for a production because of the visibility.

Black Mass

movie will be filmed in Boston and Cambridge and the Charlestown Productions will start to film in Boston, Massachusetts on Tuerdsay May 27th.

I want to remember that this one is the story of a great mafioso of the area,

Whitey Bulger,

The real Whitey Bulger

in jail now.

plays the role of the mafioso.

Population has received a paper with all the explanation for may 27th.

They will film the exterior scene next to the Mystic Shore Warehouse on Border Street and the corner of Border and Decatur St. from 7 AM-7PM.

The document: “In order to facilitate filming, and in order to assure that the street is time-period appropriate, we will need to clear sections of street parking for picture and production vehicles. The parking restrictions will begin at 1AM Tuesday may 27th and end at about 11PM on the same day”.

The areas involved:

Border St-No Parking from McDonalds to Decatur ST (Right Side)

Border St-No Parking from Decatur St. to Maverick St (both sides)

Decatur St-No Parking from border St to London St. (Both sides)

It is explained later that it will be of course important to observe specific times on the NO PARKING signs to be posted end of next week.

Anyway for all maybe a bit still perplexed there won’t be problems: members of the security of the production’s team will be on Border St. overnight on Monday 26th to assist residents with questions and of course mainly parking.

It is specified that one of the scene will be filmed will include sound of gunfire.
“We will have the proper authorities present to assist us with that activity”, it is clarified..

And they continue adding that:.”We are aware of the inconvenience caused by our activity and apologize in advance. Rest assured that we will do everything possible to minimize the impact of our activities on your neighborhood. We are working in close coordination with local officials and Boston police will be on site during filming”.

Charlestown Productions wants also to thank all the residents for the hospitality. “…For allowing us to film our latest movie around your neighborhood. We appreciate your cooperation with this production”.
