Another clip of Mortdecai the new movie with the sophisticated art dealer Charlie Mortdecai.

Johnny Depp NassauJune2005039 in the role of Charlie Mortdecai 1656314_349228038584179_8755650345077644196_n the new movie where our favorite actor will characterize the sophisticated, very rich ad sly art dealer, born from the pen of Kyril Bonfiglioli.

This one the description given by Bonfiglioli, before to start to write his first book, Don’t point that thing at me: “This is not an autobiographical novel. It is about some other portly, dissolute, immoral and middle-aged art dealer.

Bonfiglioli wrote a first trilogy about Mortdecais adventures: Don’t point that thing at me , After you with the pistol and Something nasty in the Woodshed mortdecai cover fry

released by the Black Spring Press, the first little house publishing believed in Bonfiglioli’s talent.  Later Penguin published his books, illustrated now by Luke Pearson.

Apart these four books about Charlie Mortdecai, Bonfiglioli wrote another funny book called: All the Tea in China telling the adventure of a Mortdecai’s ancestor.

This movie is based on the latest book written by Kyril Bonfiglioli Bonfiglioli and completed by Craig Brown  brown

The Great Mortdecai Moustache Mystery Mortdecai published in 1999.

Bonfiglioli was dead when it was felt from the house publishing Black Spring Press the necessity of completing the book and it was asked the help of Craig Brown. A choice Bonfiglioli would have very appreciated.

Kyril Bonfiglioli hasn’t written common books, but very intelligent novels. Unfortunately he hasn’t never found a great base when still alive. He lived, not as his main character Charlie Mortdecai did, in the luxury but in poverty, and suffered of alcoholism dying of cirrhosis still very young.

In this final story of Charlie Mortdecai

Our man in fact loves to eating well, and he loves to drink much better than eating. He is in his 50s. During the days spent to the hospital with the relaxing company of young nurses glad to spend their spare time with the patient, Mortdecai takes a very important, vital decision for the entire life of the world or better of his existence: growing up a moustache. Pity that, once returned home, his wife Johanna will find this moustache absolutely horrible, avoiding any kind and pale physical contact with him, and preferring to spend her spare time playing at bridge, or doing some shopping. Poor Mortdecai constricted to resuscitate some Playboys issues.

At the same time new arrivals and new adventures for Mortdecai. A lady has been found dead and everyone thinks that maybe has been killed…..

The movie is directed by David Koepp and written by Eric Aronson.

In the cast: Johnny Depp as Mortdcai,  Gwyneth Paltrow as Johanna, Paul Bettany as Jock Strapp, Mortdecai’s butler.
