Johnny's movies

The great Mortdecai Moustache Mystery

Posted in Books, Johnny Depp, movies by Anna Maria Polidori on January 20, 2015

Not yet the review of the book…It’ s a coming soon, just…..

Let’s open a parentheses. In various websites there is still confusion regarding the various books written by Kyril Bonfiglioli and the one Johnny Depp  used for the creation of the movie 10734279_351846358322347_906932846813032983_n

The final one, The great Mortdecai Moustache Mystery  10734279_351846358322347_906932846813032983_ngreat_mortdecai_moustache_mystery569_0 , left incomplete and later finished and adjusted by Craig Brown has been the one taken in consideration by the Infinitum Nihil, Johnny’s house producing and Lionsgate.

Bonfiglioli left this book alone when he died in 1985.

Years later the Black Spring Press, the little house publishing that previously published all the books by Bonfiglioli, in a trilogy: The Mortdecai Trilogy mortdecai asked to Craig Brown to finishing that fourth book still uncompleted: The great Mortdecai Moustache Mystery.

This one is the final book and it’s the one they have based the story you will see to the cinema. It was published in 1999.

Previously Bonfiglioli had written other four stories involving Mortdecai, or better, other three, if we exclude All the tea in China all the tea where there is a Charlie’s ancestor as protagonist.

The rest od the trilogy, three different books that you can buy now separately by Penguin UK are: Don’t point that thing at me dont_point_that_thing_at_me569_0, After you with the pistol after_you_with_the_pistol569_2 and Something nasty in the Woodshed something_nasty1569_0

Johnny Depp in case Mortdecai 10734279_351846358322347_906932846813032983_n will be a successful movie will take in consideration all the other books written by Bonfiglioli.

At first each of us, including me, thought that Johnny Depp had created the movie by the Mortdecai Trilogy, but each of these books live a particular complexity, and later we discovered that they decided for the latest one.
