The news is spreading through the web at the velocity of light and in particular in chinese websites. Johnny NassauJune2005039  1964965_710436089054912_7738245153163189096_n Depp could attend the premiere of Mortdecai 10698572_333070923533224_1641023717765166856_n in China this April 17th.1535379_360854087421574_1004872793250515832_n 10494564_377263622447287_2909134849716288159_n 1610859_377263585780624_8302676760857527241_n 10923499_377263675780615_5167736869632244464_n 10685524_377263545780628_7049385684854293550_n 10300017_377263649113951_6779890456928568440_n           10931241_376834859156830_8108015796539290588_n

Charlie Mortdecai 10494564_377263622447287_2909134849716288159_n is a sophisticated, pretty sly Londoner art dealer. With his butler Jock Strapp they will live a lot of adventures together.

Kyril Bonfiglioli BONFIGLIOLI the pen and inventor of this interesting character, all the tea  mortdecai dont_point_that_thing_at_me569_0 after_you_with_the_pistol569_2 something_nasty1569_0 portrayed by Johnny Depp hilariously and with a lightness that to me there is not in the books written by Bonfiglioli.

Bonfiglioli was a great fan by PG Wodehouse and he was inspired by the legendary duo created by Wodehouse: Bertie Wooster and his butler Jeeves.

The movie is the adaptation of the latest book written partially by Bonfiglioli and completed later by Craig Brown: The Great Mortdecai great_mortdecai_moustache_mystery569_0Moustache Mystery and the first episode of the story: Don’t point dont_point_that_thing_at_me569_0 that thing at me.

Bonfiglioli, previously had written a book: All the Tea in China all_the_tea_in_china1569_0all the tea involving an ancestor by the same Charlie Mortdecai. Books published firstly by the Black Spring Press available now thanks to Penguin UK.

Johnny Depp in the role of Charlie Mortdecai. The story will be intriguing because there will be Russians, international terrorists, a stolen painting with maybe inside a code leading to some Nazi gold.

David Koepp directed Mortdecai. Previously Koepp had directed Johnny in Secret Window, a movie based on a book written by Stephen King.

With Johnny Depp, in the role of Johanna the wife of Mortdecai another icon of the American cinema: Gwyneth Paltrow.
Paul Bettany in the role of Jock Strapp.
