Various the reasons why the production has decided to shooting in other locations. The first one for avoid to filming water scenes in rough oceans.

Another reason: it seems that a senior producer got sick offshore.

In the Gold Coast, in the while, Hall Morris reassured everyone: Johnny  johnny173 257premiere_jpg  7089_572843512839178_7217462342563271866_n 10455714_411781972328785_9016701268037474349_n 11136700_916942995011954_7858734634046874516_n Depp is still camped out at Doug Jennings park in the close future so these one are not immediate priorities for the production and as he cheerfully told to the Gold Coast Bulletin:

They will still be filming at Doug Jennings Park. They haven’t cancelled with us and everything is set to proceed at this stage.”

The federal government spent $21.6 million for securing the production of Pirates in the Gold Coast. The government offered an incentive package that included payroll tax concessions.

Raby Bay the new location picked up by the producers of Pirates is not new to international movies production. Unbroken with Angelina Jolie was filmed in that location.
Karen Williams from the city council of Redland City says that the community is happy to receive the protagonist of Pirates, if their intention is filming in their places and in particular in Cleveland cleveland
She added: “It is a little bit of a surprise to us as we had been having ongoing discussions with Screen Queensland for quite sometime after Unbroken and Narnia were filmed here“.
Remarked by the councillor Williams that the reason why the production has chosen the area has been because of the calm waters of the bay and the clear horizon.
We have the calmest waters in south-east Queensland here in Redlands and it seems that the seasickness was not faring too well for the actors at the Gold Coast” she added.

Jerry Bruckheimer, the producer not yet seen in the locations.
