Johnny and the Bat

New cute story for the pirate in Queensland. A land, this one for him of meetings…

For sure Australians don’t joke when job or health of people and…animals are involved.

The Gold Coast Bulletin recently reported that the two Capuchin caphuchin monkeysmonkeys finally after a period of quarantine have been admitted in Australia for performing as it happened in the other movies  of Pirates. Hoooray!

While Capuchin monkeys were admitted and they will triumphantly enter in Queensland, Johnny Depp became the sponsor of a tender week-old premature bat renamed in honor of the actor Jackie Sparrow.

It seems Johnny couldn’t believe at himself when he discovered that there was a poor little bat in need.

The society at the moment curing the little animal is the Australian Bat Clinic and Wildlife Trauma Centre. The director Trish Wimberley told at the Bulletin that Johnny Depp has donated at the moment a $1000 sponsorship after the discovery of the little animal in need.

But how Johnny Depp discovered this story? A volunteer at the center works also on the set as a voice coach and so told him about the situation of the bat, and the rescue during the floods at the beginning of this month.

Being a gothic man, loving everything gothic, Johnny couldn’t believe at what they were telling him. A bat needed his help. A nocturnal animal. He immediately said them he wanted to sponsor this cause for helping the bat.

At first the ladies of the center had thought at a name like Charlotte or Little Princess for the bat, in theme with the new-born baby of Prince William and Kate Middleton I guess, but lately they must have thought that it was better to re-naming the little bat Jackie Sparrow in honor of the most famous pirate 22_19 of the Caribbean and sponsor of the cause.
Johnny agreed enthusiastically at this idea as well.
The center is also planning a visit of Johnny Depp at the center and of course he will meet in person Jackie Sparrow the Bat!

Let’s hope that Johnny will continue to support the center also for another cause: the center in fact is trying to raise funds for a new rehabilitation room partially destroyed after the heavy rain of this month.

At the center they confirm that they have a lot of guests and they add that “Jackie Sparrow and other bats in needs are in other rooms. For the rest we are plenty“.
