How the perception of life changes thanks to some life’s events

The ecoli: that days Johnny thought he would have lost Lily-Rose

It hasn’t been at all a joke the one lived by the actor and his partner Vanessa Paradis at that time when Lily-Rose abruptly fell sick one day.

Treated at first as a common flu, later the discovery of something more nasty, Johnny’s GQ DICEMBRE 2015 daughter was accompanied with great urgency by the parents at the Great Ormond Street Hospital of London in critical conditions.

At the Graham Norton Show Johnny told again the stress of that days: “I’ve known darkness in my life, but that was the darkest period ever” admitted sincerely.

Later, his character Jack 40656061_m Sparrow involved in many visits to various hospitals for presenting some moments of lightness to the guests of the various structures.

Depp commented: “I’ve always kind of done these visits, but after that episode of my life, the visits became more and more important. Because the kids, bless them, you know they’re so strong, they’re so courageous…But the parents…They are the ones who are slowly dying. To be able to bring a smile or a giggle to these people means everything in the world to me”.

It is true.
Johnny sponsored per years The Children’s Hospice and Palliative Care Coalition of Watsonville, California.

Recently Johnny Depp met Jed Baker 11245502_10152915047232362_8849569018541242856_n when he was in the paradisiacal land of Queensland for filming Pirates 5 Dead Men Tell no Tales.

Jed is an australian teen-ager of 12 years affected by Moyamoya disease and great fan of the actor 11223635_953956104646758_8765598244982848423_n, Pirates movie and the Black Pearl.

When her mom Nicola understood that the movie Pirates 5 would have been filmed in Australia she didn’t hesitate for a second and contacted all the possible people close to the actor for arranging a dreaming meeting with him.

Brava mamma!

“Whitey”, human in words, monster on screen

“Whitey”  humanized by Johnny in interviews in Black Mass considered a monster

No one knows the reason but the mobster “Whitey” Bulger portrayed by Johnny for the big screen in Black Mass hasn’t been lived by the actor as a horrible person and although the movie has been created for let show to all the world the so many cruelties of the South Boston mobster Whitey Bulger _bulger_,  Johnny johnny___d, wherever goes for the promotion of the movie can’t stop to remark Whitey’s humanity .

“He was still a human being who loved his mother, and his brother, and who took care of the people who lived around him”.

Johnny later said he asked to meet Bulger.

“I did ask Mr. Bulger if he would grant me some time, but he respectfully declined. Those were the exact words he used and I understood that very well. He was very gentlemanly about it. He just said he didn’t like the book about him, and I can understand that he wouldn’t be much of a fan”.

The movie Black Mass directed by Scott Cooper is based on the book by the two investigative reporters of the Globe Dick Lehr and Gerard O’Neill: “Black Mass, Whitey Bulger and a devil’s deal.”

During the premiere at the Coolidge Corner Theatre in Boston, Johnny remarked talking about “Whitey”: “There’s a kind heart. There’s a cold heart in there. There’s a man who loves. There’s a man who cries. There’s a lot to the man.”

Boston 2

Regarding Black Mass, movies and policy

Posted in joel edgerton, Juno Temple, movies, scott cooper, whitey bulger by Anna Maria Polidori on November 21, 2015

Johnny Depp, Scott Cooper and Joel Edgerton open their hearts about movies, policy and Black Mass

Scott Cooper, Joel Edgerton and Johnny Depp all together for a conversation about all the possible thematics in this world including policy. The main reason for this encounter? Black Mass, where Johnny plays the role of gangster Jimmy “Whitey” Bulger. From Southie, South Boston, Bulger terrorized the city during the 70s and 80s.
When an indictment ready for him and the wind changed he left Boston forever. It was 1995.
16 years later, on june 21 2011 the capture of Bulger and his long-term girlfriend Catherine Greig in the stunning locality of Santa Monica.

The two actors and the director confessed their passions.

12279101_488317141341934_2424891320751305148_n
Joel Edgerton hopes someone will realize a good version of the novel: “The Dice Man”. Another movie the actor loves and was involved in was “Animal Kingdom”. The actor described the movie as a “Great window into the criminal world”.

Depp replied he found a version sent by a friend because banned in the USA of the movie: “Bad Boy Bubby” describing the movie as one of the most disturbing movies he has ever seen.
Cooper thinks “Sexy Beast” is great.

Edgerton worked in The Great Gatsby. According to Edgerton “There’s something graceful about a person like a criminal. He’s not pretending to be anything he’s not and that’s beautiful”.

The three starts to talk of policy. The arrival of Donald Trump the American answer at the italian Silvio Berlusconi has in a way animated policy these past weeks.

Edgerton thinks he is saying what he thinks.

Johnny Depp thinks he says weird stuff. But at the same time Johnny thinks that the other guy Ben Carson being a neurosurgeon is not a good choice. ” I don’t want that guy in my brain”.

Black Mass.

Scott Cooper didn’t want to create a fun movie with the story of Whitey Bulger.

Many the comparisons made with The Goodfellas, The Departed, The Godfather. Scott Cooper explains that yes “Goodfellas is a fun movie but…”
The director didn’t want to celebrate Bulger’s life or leaving the spectators with the sensation that the “work” of the gangster was attractive and the gangster a nice chap.
“I had no interest in stylizing the violence”.

Joel Edgerton thinks that the story, being true, didn’t leave too much license. People suffered a lot because of this mobster and his gang, the Winter Hill one. Many people killed by the gangster and their families. All these people needed to be respected.

There has always been peace on set of Black Mass thanks to the clear ideas of the director about the various characters.

In a way Scott Cooper tells that they didn’t have a road map.
“You never know where you’re going to go in a scene because if you do, then that’s what you do in acting class as opposed to really finding it”.

Joel Edgerton in the role of John Connolly was convincing thanks to his adoration for Whitey Bulger.

Edgerton remembers how absorbing was to play the role of Connolly: “I kind of like getting home at the end of the day, exhausted. All I have to do is go to bed and wake up the next day. Not that you’re staying in character, but…”

Johnny is another man doesn’t love methods.
“Lee Strasberg, Constantin Stanislavski’s method…”
Johnny thinks when an actor works with a method and they go home they’re still the character they’re impersonating.
Johnny Depp thinks that: “You’ve got to have fun. If you don’t have fun, you’re in the wrong profession”.
