The sad end of a Hollywood’s promise and a broken dream

It seems yesterday while it happened 8 years ago. I was sat here, more or less it was this night time when I received a CNN breaking news: Heath Ledger was dead. 28 years, he was one of the biggest promises of Hollywood. This departure touched me profoundly.

He was working at Parnassus, that days, Heath Ledger a new production wanted by Terry Gilliam and in the past he worked with Matt Damon and Monica Bellucci in The Brothers Grimm my favorite Gilliam’s movie. He was in NYC. They found him dead in his apartment at SOHO.

I had seen two days before or maybe just one a pic of him smiling on the set of Parnassus. It was scaring thinking at life and death and the big connection existing between these two eternal forces.

The death cause: a mixtures of various drugs but real causes never explained. I tried to contact Terry Gilliam to London for an interview and prostrated for the pain he declined the interview. Shocked, the director constricted to re-write the script and the movie completed by Colin Farrell, Jude Law and Johnny Depp. No one of them received a pay. The pay for their work went to Matilda, little Heath Ledger’s daughter.

News of these days, reported from Daily Mail Australia an interview with Heath Ledger’s dad, where the poor prostrated dad admits: “It was totally his fault.”

He continued adding: “He put them in his system. You can’t blame anyone else in that situation.”

The dad of Ledger admits also how hard was to coping with this pain: “That’s hard to accept because I loved him so much and was so proud of him” said to Daily Mail Australia.

The father of Ledger affirms also that there was a final last dramatic calls between Katie and her beloved brother Heath. She asked him of not taking that painkillers associated with certain sleeping tablets that the actor was taking from a certain time.

But Heath Ledger said her he knew what he was doing.

Heath Ledger was found dead on Jan 22 2008.
