Maybe a sixth installment is possible said Bloom

What appeared clear with Pirates 5 was this: that  it was better to return to the past so indispensable to call back the old and beloved protagonists of the saga, the ones who, with Johnny Depp , Jack  Sparrow, made Pirates of the Caribbean so unique and special.

One of them is Orlando Bloom. British, born in Kent in 1977 he is famous also for having portrayed one of the nine members of the Fellowship of the Rings, in the trilogy The Lord of the Rings by Peter Jackson: the elf Legolas  later also seen in The Hobbit Trilogy by the same Peter Jackson.

Bloom these days in various shows because of the promotion of the movie attended the Graham Norton Show this April 28 revealing that maybe Pirates won’t end with this latest installment..

“There is room for more” he added sure.

Orlando said he is the captain of The Flying Dutchman the most famous ad well described ghost ship of the Oceans with his son Henry Turner portrayed by Aussie actor Brenton Thwaites.

Just other several weeks and Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar’s Revenge or Dead Men Tell no Tales will be released.

Pirates are back!

Captain Jack, where are you?

Posted in Johnny Depp, Pirates 5 Dead men tell no tales by Anna Maria Polidori on April 27, 2017

Captain Jack starts this adventure simply as Jack

A different Jack Sparrow, the one we will see in Pirates 5 Dead Men Tell No Tales.

More real, more human, more captivating. Jack Sparrow won’t be anymore in fact Captain Jack but just Jack.
Why this?

In an interview to SFX magazine co-director Ronning says that  “Jack lost his luck and was a big part of his lifestyle. He’s lost his way. He’s lost his horizon.

Jack is not anymore a captain. He is not anymore on an ocean with a ship his beloved Black Pearl and a crew. He is a common man. Miserable. Alone. Lost.

Apparently.

Apparently because, you know, the story of Jack Sparrow was agitated in the previous movies of the sagas, his life pretty of adventures and friends and ahem of course old and new enemies and so…

Old friends will return and new perils and enemies will appear to the horizon  fought by Captain Jack back as brilliant, wonderfully nice and terribly sardonic as we have always known him!

Jack: look at your horizon! Always!

Orlando Bloom in polemic with BBC Radio 1

Posted in Johnny Depp by Anna Maria Polidori on April 27, 2017

The British actor and the diplomatic error

We all know that the father of Orlando Bloom Mr Bloom is a writer and professor and probably Orlando was trying just to be researched in his speaking: who knows?

Or maybe it was just a wrong day for Orlando Bloom when he decided to release an interview with BBC Radio 1 where he said during the interview that he was a pikey boy from Kent. The interview with Nick Grimshaw.

In the past pikey was used with the meaning of
“a lower-class person” perhaps coarse or disreputable.

In Kent where Orlando was born had also another meaning: the traveling groups who came to the county as “pickers” in the summertime of fruit and hops.

In recent times pikey means: people, of any ethnic group, who travel around with no fixed abode.

And an actor can be a “gypsy” in this sense because he travels a lot and for work’s exigencies he doesn’t stay in a place for a long time.

The diplomatic incident when Mr Grimwshaw asked to Bloom something about his own stunts: “I’m still a pikey from Kent, boy, I’m still a pikey from Kent. You don’t want to get on the wrong side of me, boy.”

BBC Radio 1 has apologized after Orlando Bloom’s strong expression used on air in case someone hurted by his expression.

The actor replied at BBC: I’ve come from Kent and I grew up with a lot of, like, freewheeling, cool, interesting characters like that. I certainly wasn’t taking a slant at that at all. I’m very respectful.”

Polemic or not, Pirates will be released this May 26 with the re-appearance of Keira Knightley as well reprising her role of Elizabeth Swann.

The movie will see the big return of Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow, Geoffrey Rush as captain Barbossa, and new exciting entries like Javier Bardem in the role of Captain Salazar and Brenton Thwaites as Henry Turner.

Don Rickles and that night with Johnny Depp…

Posted in Johnny Depp by Anna Maria Polidori on April 6, 2017

We want to remember Don Rickles with these pictures

Mr. Rickles disappeared on Thursday in Los Angeles.

Johnny Depp circa 3 years ago met during a gala had the pleasure to being introduced to Mr Rickles.

Johnny met Rickles during a gala with   Martin Scorsese, David Letterman, Jerry Seinfeld, Robert De Niro, Regis Philbin, Tracy Morgan, Brian Williams and Jon Stewart.

Johnny told to the audience what when he met Rickles he was expecting an insult. No one. A bad signal to Johnny. “It meant to me at the time that he clearly hated me” added Johnny.

Donald Jay Rickles was born in the Queens NYC in 1926, becoming an icon of the American showbiz. Dramatic and comic roles, he was  a frequent guest on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. More than 100 appearances.

After the Second World War the comedian studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.

It was a hard work the one of the actor and not receiving great payments Rickles started to doing stand-up comedy performing  in hotels.

He became famous for being an insult comedian. He was so nice doing it that the public went crazy for him and so Don added to the various sketches insults everytime.

Who  helped a lot Rickles was Frank  Sinatra .

Sinatra simply fell in love for his acting and for the insults. He asked to other known people of supporting him.

A real joy the return of Will Turner!

Posted in Johnny Depp by Anna Maria Polidori on April 4, 2017

Fans of Pirates are very happy because another important piece of the saga of this loved movie is back for good: Orlando Bloom in his historical role of Will Turner.

The actor born in Kent, England on January 13 1977, known also for his spectacular role as the Elf Legolas in The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit will replace his historical role as Will Turner.

Substantially Will Turner is the good boy of the adventures of the saga.

Blacksmith, conscious of his social status, Will refuses to be more than a friend with Elizabeth Swann the daughter of mr. Swann and promised to Commodore Norrington although he feels strong sentiments for her.

Later Will discovers that there is some Pirates blood in his veins as well.

His dad in fact was a Pirate.

After a first delusion, Will embrace the cause of piracy with all himself adding that quid able to make the difference in his case and that was why a part of fans of the saga loves his character a lot.

There is linearity in Will’s life and there is maybe the “necessity of being a pirate” a necessity that Jack Sparrow doesn’t have.

Jack (Johnny Depp plays the role of Sparrow) is born as a pirate and will die as a pirate. He will always laugh and smile and cheat and he will always be in love for freedom, looking at that horizon and endless inviting ocean. It is in his veins.

At first, Will, and his actions are more tended to helping in situations of necessity and although Will knows that Jack sometimes is not the best mate around he can’t stop and help himself to being one of his mates because he knows, he perfectly knows that with him he will experience the best, wonderful, sardonic, weird adventures of all his life.

Will is in love with Elizabeth from the first movie although at some point Jack will try to steal this love and at the moment is the Captain of The Flying Dutchman the cursest ship of all the world. The captain of the Flying Dutchman in fact heartless in the real sense of the word and the crew formed by phantoms.

Elizabeth has a son with Will, Henry that we will meet in Pirates 5.

Why a movie about this man?

Wanted by Scott Alexander and Larry Krzyzewski creators also of Big Eyes and Ed Wood the story is very interesting.
McAfee Associates created an antivirus software but years later McAfee in big troubles…

The project a Warner Bros. at the beginning.

Johnny after his big return with Black Mass decided recently to pick up a different genre of movies, returning to portray real characters in strong movies.

Apart for Pirates, we will find him in Labyrinth, Murder on the Orient Express a classic based on the book by Agatha Christie, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
